Family Radio Service channels is short-distance, two-way voice communications using small hand-held radios that are similar to walkie-talkies.

The Family Radio Service (FRS) is a walkie-talkie radio system authorized in the United States since 1996. This radio also called as Personal Mobile Radio (PMR) in Europe uses channelized frequencies around 446Mhz is a part of the UHF radio frequency range that is open without licensing for personal use in most countries of the European Union. (It has roughly the same use as FRS or GMRS in the United States and Canada.) Depending on surrounding terrain, coverage range can vary from a few hundred meters (in a city) to a few kilometers (flat countryside) to many kilometers from high ground. It is ideal for small-house, same-building and line of sight outdoor activities.
 
Need to note that this radio is not suitable for commercial or industrial usage due to it reliability and battery performance. Power output is limited to 0.5Watt compare to professional radio at 5Watt.
